Pop singer Siti Nurhaliza pledges support for ‘lonely’ Dr M

Two popular local artistes have pledged their support for Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad after the former prime minister said he was alone in the quest for answers over various issues raised with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Malaysia's wealthiest female singer, said her support would always be with Dr Mahathir, noting that he had left a lasting legacy in developing the nation.
"Love u Tun & sentiasa bersama Tun..Sejarah kepimpinan Tun mengharungi pelbagai cabaran &dugaan membangunkan Malaysia hingga terkenal di mata dunia patut kita hargai serta contohi," she said in a posting on social networking site Instagram.
“Tiada yang muda kalau tidak kerana orang tua .. #sayaanakMalaysia #sebak."

Since it was uploaded a day ago, her posting has garnered some 17,000 likes.
In his latest post on his popular blog chedet.cc on Monday, Dr Mahathir said he felt as if he was alone in his quest for answers over various issues he had raised, referring to the 1Malaysian Development Berhad (1MDB) debts and the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.
The former prime minister said he was merely seeking answers and denied his attacks were the result of Putrajaya not building the crooked bridge linking Johor and Singapore.
Actress Rozita Che Wan also assured Dr Mahathir that he was not alone but added that no one would listen to their questions as they were only "ordinary folks".
"Tun tidak kesaorangan..kami sentiasa teguh di belakang....Tapi kami ni org marhein sapa nk dengaq soqa kami #sayaanakmalaysia #welovetun #tundrmahathirmohammad #bencigst," said the posting, which has gained more than 10,000 likes.

Both artistes' postings evoked strong responses from dozens of fans who also expressed support for Dr Mahathir.
Earlier today, former Umno vice president Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib said that the former prime minister could always count on the silent majority for support.
Muhammad, who is now a PAS member, said the majority of people, like Dr Mahathir, were also eager to find out the truth because many of the questions remained unanswered.
"Dr Mahathir is not alone on this. The majority is following the development (between Dr Mahathir and Najib) and instead of giving answers, the prime minister is going around gathering his supporters to show off strength.
"There is nothing to cheer about really. I think the silent majority is watching from the sidelines and listening to what Dr Mahathir is saying," Muhammad, also known as Mat Taib, told The Malaysian Insider.
